Joint pain
Aching knees, stiff hips, sore wrists or ankles: joint pain can slowly make you move less, and moving less can add to the stiffness. It can come from strain, overuse, how you move, or wear and tear over the years.
Looking at how you move
A painful joint is often affected by the joints above and below it. We'll talk about which joints are troubling you, how long for, and what you'd like to be able to do more easily. I'll assess the joint itself and how your whole body is moving around it.
How I work
I use McTimoney, a gentle, whole-body technique with light, precise adjustments, which suits people who'd prefer not to have forceful treatment. (Find out more about McTimoney) I'll share simple ideas for keeping active in a way that feels manageable.
When to see your GP first
Please see your GP promptly if a joint is hot, red and swollen, especially with a fever or feeling unwell, or if several joints have become painful and swollen at once.
