Minor sports injuries

Whether you run, cycle, swim, play team sports or go to the gym, strains and niggles happen. A minor injury can knock your confidence as much as your body.

Understanding the injury

We'll talk about what happened, your sport and your training, and what you want to get back to. I'll assess the injured area and how the rest of your body is moving, since a problem in one area can change how you move everywhere else.

How I work

I use McTimoney, a gentle, whole-body technique with light, precise adjustments. (Find out more about McTimoney). Alongside treatment, I'll suggest how to stay active while you recover, and we'll talk about returning to your sport at a pace that feels right.

When to get urgent help

Go to A&E or a minor injuries unit first if you can't put weight on it, there's severe swelling or deformity, you think something may be broken, or you've had a head injury.
