Neck pain and headaches

A stiff neck, tight shoulders or a headache that seems to start at the base of the skull are some of the most common things people bring to me. They're often linked, and they tend to build up over time.

Everyday patterns

Long hours at a screen, looking down at a phone, driving, carrying tension in the shoulders, poor sleep or a stressful few weeks can all come up when we talk. I'll ask about your work, how you sleep and how you've been feeling, because the neck rarely works in isolation.

What I'll look at

We'll look at how your neck, upper back, shoulders and the rest of your spine are moving together. I see people with neck pain, headaches arising from the neck, and those looking for help with migraine prevention.

How I work

I use McTimoney, a gentle, whole-body technique with light, precise adjustments. (Find out more about McTimoney) Alongside treatment, I'll share simple ideas for posture, screens and breathing to carry on at home.

If anything suggests your headaches need checking by your GP, I'll tell you.
